This is the question that everybody asks. And the answer is yes! My first piano was a little, plastic, yellow toy piano,
which I played constantly according to my parents. It was my favorite toy. Whenever my dad would play the piano, I would
run and get my little piano and “play” with him. Then one night, when I was 4 years old, I decided that I really wanted to play
the piano for real. When I was 5 years old, I got to go to Australia and play the piano at the Sydney Opera House. It is a really, really neat building – it looks like a hug sailship. Personally, I thought the kangaroos and the koala bears
were really cool. I got to hold a koala bear at the Lone Pine Koala Reserve. I got to go to Mexico, too. We stayed
in Mexico City, which was very beautiful and we visited the pyramids. I have played in Jamaica, Mexico, Nassau, Bahamas, theU.S. and Australia. I feel very lucky to play the piano and to have been able to visit so many neat places.
Well, that depends on a lot of things. If I am getting ready for a concert, I usually practice a few times a day, playing the
pieces that I am going to perform. But if I am not getting ready for a concert, then I try to practice once a day, but that
doesn’t always happen.
Do you REALLY play the piano?
How much do you practice?
Acting is fun! I really love it. Also, being on a TV show set is fun. People play practical jokes each other. Like in one scene in an episode of My Wife and Kids, I had to be hidden under a long coat that Damon Wayons was wearing. My mom and I bought a remote control fart machine and while Damon was trying to say his lines, my mom and my lines coach kept pushing the button and making it make fart noises. Damon thought I was really farting, and finally started laughing. It was super funny! It’s also fun to pretend to be somebody else.
Is acting fun?
Yes, sometimes. But – just like piano - the challenge is one of the things makes it fun. In one of the episodes of My Wife and
Kids, we went to the Bahamas and I played the part of Franklin plus this other guy – Franklin Mumfordi. That was hard, but it
was one of my favorite episodes to do. Once I had to learn a paragraph in Cantonese. That was very challenging, but very
fun.
Is acting hard?
Lots of things! I just got a Go-Kart and I like to take it out to the desert and drive it around. My dad and I are planning a trip where we go camping and Go-Karting. And when I was in Maine my dad and I built this really great fort out in the woods. I also like to play video games – though my mom and dad don’t let me play them except on the weekends and then they limit my time. I like to watch movies and just hang out and play with my dogs and my cat.
What do you do when you're not acting?
